Meet turtles, snakes, lizards, some small mammals, and Wally the Alligator up close and personal. Dave's program combines learning interesting facts about his animals with the thrill of handling them.
The Audubon Society of RI will be presenting Owls of Rhode Island. There will be live animals as part of this program! Registration is required for this Friends of the Jamestown Library program because space is limited to 30. Please register online.

Come join us for a Casey Farm presentation of Project Chick. The program is suitable for children ages 3 to 13. It includes a 40-minute presentation about chickens, a 15-minute talk on eggs and a 5-minute period where participants get to touch a live chicken and hold live chicks. Registration is not required for this Friends of the Jamestown Library program but space is limited to 100.
Biomes Center will be presenting in the Meeting Hall. Biomes is the most hands-on aquarium in the region. It specializes in teaching children and adults about the marine animals of Narragansett Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Biomes’ visiting program brings the fun and learning experience straight to the library. Space is limited to 30. Please register online.
Esteemed research scientist, Steven Clemens, PhD professor at Brown University will speak on the perspectives of climate change, global warming, and the effects of deep-sea drilling. How is our fragile bay affected? What are current trends in global warming? How might legislation effect our environment? Join us for a lively and informative discussion.
